NeuroPower: A Brain-First Approach Toward Movement
with Certified Pilates Instructor and South Dakota's first and only Certified Z Health Trainer®, Jan McGrath
A brain-first approach toward pain reduction and high performance.
What is NeuroPower?
Assessment and reassessment after neuro drill: Client increases range of motion.
NeuroPower is an effective approach to improving physical performance using the power of neuroplasticity.
What is Neuroplasticity?
Neuroplasticity is the lifelong ability of the brain to form, weaken, strengthen, and reorganize synaptic connections in response to learning, experience, aging, environment, or injury. It is a formal way of saying that the brain continuously changes in a way that can be affected.
Neurology. Applied.
Your body only performs as well as your brain lets it. If your brain under performs, your body under performs too. So, it makes sense that your brain should be at the heart of everything you do to improve your movement.
By combining the power of neurology with movement, vision, balance and sensory exercises, we can create significant changes to what matters most for your body’s performance: your brain.
All Performance Starts and Ends in the Brain.
Reshape the way you train by focusing on and improving the connection between brain and body.
Your nervous system manages your entire body. The fastest path to make changes in pain, range of motion, strength, coordination, speed, agility or
any other physical attribute is to adjust your nervous system.
The nervous system only does three things.
It takes in input, it interprets and decides what that input means and then it creates an output.
The Quality of the Output is Determined by the Quality of the Input.

What is NeuroPower For?
Why NeuroPower is different?
Most methods approach movement performance from a biomechanical perspective only.
But our body is only one part of a trio of key systems that our brain uses to control movement and navigate our way through the world.
But our body is only one part of a trio of key systems that our brain uses to control movement and navigate our way through the world.
Any deficit in these systems will impact how freely we move and how well our body can perform. If you can’t see well, balance well, or judge your body well, you won’t be able to run as fast, lift as much, or even pick up a hot drink as confidently.
If you only work on developing your muscles, you’ll get incremental improvements. Unless these key movement systems are well integrated, you will never move as well as you could.
In your NeuroPower movement sessions, we will rapidly assesses and develop all three of these essential systems, increasing your freedom and ability to move. Learn more.

🧠 What can a neuroplasticity or NeuroPower session do for me?
If traditional exercise classes make use of the mind body connection to help you better control certain muscle groups, a neuroplasticity or NeuroPower ("neuro") session makes use of your neuroplasticity in order to influence the entire bidirectional interaction loop between mind and body. Neural heiarchy-based training improves the interpretation of sensory signals from the body to the brain, the speed and ease of processing of those signals, and the execution of return signals from the brain to the body. Clients are reporting improved reaction times, balance, and coordination, as well as, reduced physical pain and limitation from trauma. Here, it is noteworthy that the integral role of the brain in neuro sessions also leads clients to report improvements in mood and emotional well-being. Clients that reported findings are professional athletes (NFL, La Liga), children (aged 7 through 17), stroke victims, have suffered concussions, were diagnosed with Parkinson's or are significantly afflicted, but yet to be diagnosed neurological disorders.
No matter our age, abilities, or hobbies, connecting mind with movement enhances so many aspects of life. You can explore the benefits of incorporating brain training.
